Freddie Decourt has spent a lifetime working to help move Iberia Parish forward. As a contractor, designer, small businessman and community leader, Freddie has committed his energy, creativity and drive to help bring new ideas, innovation and honest leadership to our community.
He’ll do even more as Iberia Parish President.
You may know Freddie as the Mayor Pro Tem of New Iberia, or from his 28 years working in the construction and architectural industry, or from his restaurant “Freddie’s Not Yet Famous BBQ.” Maybe you know Freddie from one of his countless community projects or community commissions and councils on which he serves. Perhaps you’ve heard him speaking openly and honestly about his public service on KANE radio in a bi-weekly discussion. You may not know him at all, at least not yet.
No matter how you know Freddie, one thing is for sure – you know Freddie is always working to build a better Iberia Parish. He was doing that before he was elected to the New Iberia City Council, and he’ll do the same after – whether or not he’s elected Parish President. Like most of us, Freddie likes to have a good time. But, he’s serious about Iberia Parish. Serious about our problems. Serious about our promise. And serious about doing whatever it takes to make Iberia Parish a destination for new businesses and growing families.
Working together with open and honest communication, Freddie DeCourt believes our community has everything we need to grow and prosper. We have the resources, talent and work ethic to get the job done. Freddie will bring the kind of independent, energetic and creative leadership Iberia Parish needs to once again move in a positive direction.
